Known as the chocolate capital of North America or "Chocolatetown, U.S.A.", Hershey was originally named Derry Church. However, the name was changed in 1906 due to the rising popularity of Hershey's Chocolate and success of the Hershey Factory built by its namesake, Milton S. Hershey.
